This is Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby after the Chimbu Day events on Friday.
The stadium field was covered in rubbish and betel nut stains and certainly not a good look and says something of those who were there to mark a historic event in the history of Chimbu.
The stadium was redeveloped for the Pacific Games in 2015 and opened before the games with the PNG Hunters-Souths Logan Queensland Cup match. It has a capacity for 15,000 spectators and has other new facilities like new broadcast quality lighting, public address system, scoreboard, and the installation of an internationally certified athletics track.
The stadium is a Port Moresby landmark and one the city residents should look after.
The city should require people who hire the stadium to leave it in a clean state after using it.
