On Thursday last week, during the swearing-in of the Lae City Authority members – in the presence of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill – it was announced that these street lights along the four-lane highway from Bugandi Junction to 9-Mile (Bulolo turn-off) will be switched on.
However, when the lights were switched-on, it was the people of 2-Mile and 3-Mile who enjoyed them, with those in 4-Mile to 9-Mile left in the dark.
These lights from 7-Mile to 8-Mile have not been switched-on.
