This section of the Raniolo access road has not been maintained for some time.
It is used by about 5000 people living in a settlement in Kokopo, East New Britain.
Apart from this, they also do not have to water and electricity.
The residents of ward 16 in the Kokopo-Vunamami Local Level Government have been living without basic government services for years.
Longtime resident and community leader Stephanie Mo said they have been marginalised and deprived of government services.
