The Ranara Primary School in Raicoast, Madang, was suspended for an indefinite period by the Madang provincial education authority after a sorcery related killing of a man.
The school is now deserted and the grounds are covered in tall grass and shrubs.
Many teachers have left, some students transferred, and children from this area have been forced to stay home.
The violence forced both the elementary and primary schools to shut.
The local aid post also shut down.
Innocent people are suffering.
