THIS is what causes accidents on the road – an inconsiderate driver parking illegally on the footpath and forcing pedestrians to walk on the road and risk being run over.
This is in Port Moresby, on Spring Garden Road, between the South Pacific Brewery roundabout and the Waigani Drive tunnel.
Not only is this illegal, the weight of the truck will also break the footpath.
This road and footpaths were redeveloped for Apec by China, but the footpaths were not meant to carry the weight of a heavy truck.
