Community Development, Youth and Religion Minister Wake Goi said children with genuine cases, who are homeless and have no families, will be placed in care centres from where they can be adopted into foster homes.
Goi said with the increasing reports of child abuse and homeless children in Port Moresby, they were looking at options to address the issue and would amend the Lukautim Pikinini Act to ensure that children were protected.
