FARMER Jeremiah Unamba from Finschhafen, Morobe, says his pineapple (pictured) has 57 crowns and eight different parts that form a pineapple. He planted the pineapple two years ago at his backyard garden at Lae’s Back Road. Many pineapple suckers take less than a year to bear fruit. “This full-grown pineapple sucker when putting on its fruit was different from what I used to see and it is unusual,” Unamba said.
