LAE MP John Rosso said about K3 million was spent annually to clean rubbish in Lae City by the Lae Urban local level government (LULLG) contractors.
Rosso said if everyone were responsible and looked after their rubbish by disposing them in bins, the K3mil could have been used for other developments projects.

The contractor was not responsible enough to keep the rubbish in the truck while driving as plastics were blown out to the streets.
Workers on truck seem to care less about their efforts being wasted.
