OVER a month ago, this spot near the Hohola, Tokarara and June Valley bus stop in Waigani, Port Moresby, was cleaned.
Pictured are vendors selling their items near the pile of rubbish.
A similar picture was taken two weeks ago but nothing has been done to clean it up.
The vendors there continue to sell food and drinks near the pile of rubbish.
What’s up National Capital District Commission?

  • It is a shame in this city where the ‘majority’ of the vendors are from the highlands and where they sell their goods, rubbish is always a problem.

Just look at Morata bust stop opposite Waigani Stop n Shop and Manu Auto Port Bus Stop and see for yourself as to what I am talking about. The least they can do is to look after the place by cleaning it because that is where they make money to sustain themselves in POM city.
