THE Hohola, Tokarara and June Valley bus stop at Waigani in Port Moresby is usually unoccupied by PMV buses. Bus drivers and crews prefer to park over the pedestrian footpath leaving the designated parking space at the bus stop empty and forcing pedestrians to walk right beside the buses.

  • 1. The capacity cannot literally hold the number of buses there. We are getting big, require bigger bus stops.
    2. People want to get on the bus as soon as they step foot off the market areas, etc…
    3. Bus drivers want to catch passengers sooner in fear of losing them to other buses.
    4. City Authority is too weak to enforce it’s impositions.
    5. And this is PNG. Expect the un-expected!!!
