Witu wants improvements

DESPITE grabbing a win in their National Soccer League season opener, Southern Youth are still a long way from finding their form, says head coach Mathew Witu.
Witu said his side’s 2-1 win over Tavur in the Southern Conference triple-header on Saturday was far from perfect with quality and technique to influence the results of their upcoming matches.
“We don’t have the quality, we don’t have the talent,” he said.
“There’s no good technique in ball controlling, passing and our combinations.
“Maybe it’s just the start of the season, we had a couple of opportunities, but we didn’t put them away.
“We have a lot of work to do, there’s plenty of room for improvement but these things can’t happen overnight, so we will do it little by little.”
