JUNGLE Intelligence, the promoter’s of the WKBF Muaythai welterweight world title initially scheduled for Aug 2 has again deferred the fight to Sept 7.

Delays in the processing of visas for Thailand fighters Rangsan Poonsang and Noom is the reason for the second deferral.

Garap promoter and manager Jerry Sarufa was disappointed with the visa clearance for world champion Poonsang and Noom.

Sarufa confirmed at a press conference at the Sports Inn yesterday that visa clearance from Thailand and Australia is the delay which has affected our planning of staging the international meet.

This World Kick Boxing Federation title fight is sanctioned and recognised by World Muaythai Council which will be refereed by an Australian  official with his name to be confirmed next week.

Garap said it was frustrating for him and the other  local fighters to have the date shifted again.

“We are frustrated that the fight has been deferred again but I’m happy to say that Poonsang and Noom’s visas have been straightened out and they will arrive on Sept 6,” Garap said.

“We are just continuing our training and waiting for Sept 7.”
