A WOMAN and eight male candidates have paid their nomination fees to contest the presidency for the North Wosera LLG in Wosera-Gawi district in East Sepik.

According to the Assistant returning officer Ben Gawi, the nine are drawn from the 66 wards in the LLG area.

The lone female, Eva Kunia, from Stapikum village was a former ward member.

“Nominations are still open and we are expecting about ten more candidates for the president seat and about 50 candidates for the ward member’s seat,” Gawi said.

Gawi further said the process of nominations was going well in North Wosera LLG headquarters at Kamaning.

Incumbent president Isidore Kamblapui is expected to pay his nomination fee today.
