Woman charged with murder

A RABAUL woman has been charged with the murder of her husband.
Acting provincial police commander David Yapu said the woman appeared for mention in the Kokopo district court last Friday and the case was adjourned to Feb 15 to be heard at the Kerevat district court.
According to Yapu, the husband died on Wednesday between 3am and 4am after a heated argument and fight between the couple.
Police reports said the deceased, Ronnie Tagain Kopis, 37, of Ratavul village in Rabaul, East New Britain, was stabbed twice on his left chest and right elbow.
He died an hour later in their bedroom. 
Yapu said the woman was now remanded in custody.
