Woman faces murder charges

 A WOMAN from Western is facing a murder charge in court in relation to the death of her husband in Port Moresby.

Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Cosmas Bidar read the charge to Helen Aida Palana from Middle Fly and adjourned the case to March 11 to allow police to complete their investigation on the matter. He ordered that Palana be remanded in custody at Bomana.

The court was told that she had an argument with her husband John Palana last Sunday at Tari Block in East Boroko, Port Moresby at around midnight.

It is alleged that people at the scene found stab wounds on his neck and blood streaming from his nose and took him to hospital. 

But he was pronounced dead on arrival.
