Women’s league says thank you

NCD Women’s rugby league off-season has commended the Port Moresby Suburban Sports Association for taking them under their umbrella.
NCDWRFL founder Wendy Kohun thanked association president Billy Aki and NCD Governor Powes Parkop for including the women’s league under its program and the K2,000 financial support for the grand final.
Kohun said the assistance was a great incentive to encourage women to participate in rugby league.
She also urged the governors from other provinces to support women’s rugby league competitions.
Kohun said she had experienced a lot of changes among the womenfolk, especially in NCD, involved in illegal activities such as gambling, participating in sports.
She is urging women throughout PNG to get involved in worthwhile activities such as sports.
