Women business expo on target

THE PNG Women in Business exposition is aimed at providing women the opportunity to showcase their talents, skills and interests.
The event is the first of its kind in the country and will feature women engaged in various forms of business.
With Lae as the host province, more than 50 women in the city itself have so far registered to be part of the occasion.
The events co-ordinator Lellas Terra said preparations for the event were underway with 30 booths being set up at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium.
She said the indoor stadium would also be used as a huge number of women from other provinces were showing their interest. The organising committee is expecting more than 1,000 participants.
Ms Terra said women from both the informal and formal sector would be showcasing and promoting their business ventures.
The expo will be held on Feb 26-28.
