Women harassed by official

I RECENTLY attended a government official’s meeting in Kokopo.

An incident happened during the closing dinner.

As usual, drinks were served and everyone was drinking and socialising.

All of a sudden, a senior official stands up, grabs the wrist of a young woman at the function and says loudly “go to your room and I will deal with you there”.

The woman replied, “I am not your wife or your staff that you can order me to go to my room”.

The man kept holding her wrist so she slapped him.

Apparently, this is not the first time this official has allegedly harassed female staff.

Can relevant authorities please do something about this?

The women want to speak out but they are scared to lose their jobs.
