Women hiding behind policy

AROUND the world, women see gender-based-violence as a pandemic that affects females physically and emotionally.
This means acts that may cause harm, suffer, and create stress and anxieties and unhappiness in women’s life.
In PNG, every societies have seen women as second to men and given them chances to some extents by men.
They were well disciplined wives and sisters under the watch of men back then.
Life was good.
However, today there is a policy on gender based violence or violence against women putting a lot of families in trouble.
Giving power to woman may encourage them to do something that may hurt the husband or family.
Because of this policy, some women go to the extreme hurting their husbands and fathers.
In a family, the wife and husband are life time partners.
But this policy protecting women is creating too many divorce and it’s out of the biblical context.
This degrades the moral of the slogan – Christian nation.
Take for instance the recent incident gone viral on social media of a man bashing his wife for making a Tiktok video.
What good is this Tiktok thing creating?
Tiktok videos are demonic. Half-naked girls make dirty body moves which the environment we live does not suit.
That degrades the moral of our Christian nation.
If women are given more power to let them do things in their own and protected by the policy, expect a lot of divorce in the future.
I call on the Government to amend this policy.
Understand the situation the man would be facing if a woman deliberately does a mistake thinking the policy is there.
Also understand the motives behind the woman and her act.
I urge the government to implement a balance policy to protect man as well.
