THE Morobe provincial government assembly, or Tutumang, has two women now in its rank after Fungkec Samana, wife of the late firebrand Morobe premier Utula Samana, was appointed last Friday.
Samana joins business representative Nellie McLay, the wife of Lae Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Allan McLay, in the new-look provincial government headed by Governor Kelly Naru.
Naru made the announcement last Sunday during the 40th graduation ceremony of the Martin Luther Seminary.
Evangelical Lutheran church Lae city circuit president Pr Ba’afekec Bamiringnuc, who serves at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Lae, represented the churches while Amos Wally represented the community.
The four appointed representatives were part of the required number in the Tutumang, along with the 33 LLG presidents.
