Women play important roles in society, says association

THE Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association says women and the role they play in society are important.
Executive director Tony Kotauga, pictured, said a fundraising breakfast was held to support the work of women in empowering projects in urban and rural areas.
The association’s human resource manager Dorothy Koch organised the event to coincide with International Women’s Day.
They discussed issues affecting women in rural and urban communities and how they could address the issues.
Estella Trostle from the United States of America said God had called them and placed them at where they were today “so they must not give up doing what they are called to do”.
Proceeds from the breakfast will go towards supporting Lifeline Papua New Guinea and
other women-oriented projects in PNG.
