Women stabbed outside club

A NIGHT out for a young mother turned fatal when she was found dead outside a Port Moresby nightclub last ThursdayRelatives said the woman, in her 20s, was stabbed twice with a sharp object near the Welcome Lounge in Boroko and died later.The deceased is from Daulo, Eastern Highlands, and was a divorced mother of one.
National Capital District police could not confirm the death when contacted yesterday.
The Boroko Criminal Investigation Division was working on the case, family members said.
A girl friend, who was with the victim at the club before her death, said they were drinking beer when the deceased received a phone call and went outside the club where she met her fate.
She said the deceased was stabbed on her thigh and shoulder.
The identity of the killers and motive for the killing are yet to be established.
The friend said the deceased was later spotted by a man who ran and told guards and by-standers near the club.
