A WOMEN’S church group in Wau town, Bulolo, Morobe, is organising meetings with communities surrounding the township to share the Word of God.The Exodus ministry in Wau aims to meet with family members in the communities to share inspirational message through fellowship.Group leader Elizabeth Kogori said the group came up with the initiative because it felt that not enough was being done to influence, encourage and inspire more people to lead Christian lives.“We are now organising weekly visits to surrounding communities to have fellowship with them, and this  week, we are planning to travel to Bulolo to visit some communities there,” she said.Kogori said people were hungry for the Word of God and that churches and other faith-based groups should visit families to share the Good News. She said her group, which comprised members from different denominations, wanted to change people’s mindsets and promote peace and harmony in the district.Kogori said because of a lack of church intervention programmes, violence, crime and other offences had increased over the last two years.Meanwhile, a Gospel concert has been organised to be staged at Lutheran Revival church in Wau from June 10-13. Organiser Hosuma Huoc said the concert was open to all denominations.“Registration fee is K100 for three songs and the concert will go for four days,” Huoc said. The organising committee sent invitations to all Gospel groups and artists in Wau urban and rural local level governments to take part in the concert.
