Women’s participation in sevens comp commended

WOMEN’S team participation at the PNG Games sevens rugby tournament has been impressive, says sports competition manager Paul Joseph.
This edition of the Games saw four provinces — Southern Highlands, Bougainville, Morobe and West New Britain — take part.
“This is the first time for Bougainville and West New Britain to take part in women’s sevens in the PNG Games for the first time,” Joseph said.
“Having women play sevens rugby shows that they can do it as well. Bougainville as well has done a good job to get women involved in the code and credit should be given to them,” Joseph said.
