Word of God has power to change individual

THE power to change a person’s attitude and improve his or her behaviour is in the Word of God, Pastor Rex Koi says.

He was speaking during the opening ceremony of Youth, Ambassador, Pathfinder and Adventurer activities on Saturday at the Gordon Police Barracks SDA church.

“Nowadays, young people are caught up with technology and this has influenced how they behave and do things,” he said.

“But if they can spend time reading the Bible, PNG will be a better place to live in.” It was aimed to reach out to young people who have left the church and help them to return so that they can be mentored into fostering a relationship with God.

Koi said what young people needed today was someone who could mentor them through God’s word so that they could live a life of peace and obedience. 

Youth leader Vicky Pasen called on the youths to take stock of their lives and their relationship with God and sacrifice those things destroying this important relationship.
