SCOPING work started on three roads in the Markham district, Onga-Waffa LLG, last year.
Markham will upgrade the Antir Road (25km), Yasuru Road (10km) and Camp 14 (7 km). They are feeder roads to the main Onga-Waffa roads. Scoping work is being done by the Department of Works. The roads were neglected for 18 years but the Antir Road was allocated K100,000 from the district services improvement progtramme (DSIP) for them last year.
Morobe Governor Kelly Naru made a commitment of K250,000 for the other two roads.
