WORK on the hydro-electric dam for the Nazarene Hospital in Jiwaka will begin next month.
Health secretary for the Nazarene health ministry Baru Dirye said the project design, planning and budgeting had been completed.
They are now looking at recruiting engineers and skilled labour for the construction phase.
Dirye said the turbine of the dam, which costs around K1 million, was being  constructed in Germany and would be shipped into the country once completed.
They are also awaiting the arrival of the project manager from the United States to oversee the project which should be completed by 2014.
The construction of the dam is funded by AusAID though the incentive fund programme which provided K9.3 million.
