DIGITAL ECONOMY
Michael John Uglo

By JOHN UGLO
THIS is the eighth lecture on digital economy and comes in three parts; working team, schedule or timeline and modern PNG economy.

Schedule or timeline
This is the architectural outline of a system design for a digitalised economy. There are a series of procedures that have to be followed through. The entire system is practicable for its implementation in a minimum of two years for a prototype system to operate.

Task definition
We are attempting to create objects in computer-programming the aspect of PNG economy. There are mathematical matrix and indexes pertinent to a relational table that will itemise the primitive data sets. Then from this arrays in dimensions read in integers will come the vectors with strings and fields with polynomials that comprise the data modules.
It can also be non-numeric data that can form our information dissemination storage and nodes. The arrays are read in sequence with frequencies or linked for parallelism that will give rise to concurrencies for efficient data recording and transmission for use or can also be sequential.
We may be interested in agriculture as the mainstay of the economy of PNG. Agriculture can be looked at in all areas involving both the scholarly and traditional knowledge to derive atomic ideas that will be the encapsulated elements as is visible in information hiding in computer programming. These are technical traits that interface agriculture to be programmed and digitised if this information is to form the proprietary function.
The example we are taking is that we aim to become one of the best organic produce suppliers in the world. This point is aside from the fact that other PNG citizens can engage in other enterprising activities that will involve the use of digital technology besides agriculture.

Episodes of symbols of sorts
It needs a few months of idealising what is to be read by an automaton. The functions and subroutines play dominant roles as they can relay echoes and interrupts in highly organised data for manipulation including deletion, insertions and updates.
Following this is also a fewer more months of deriving a machine language with the use of compilers software. The source code then is now translated with an assembly language that forms the medium in which a programmer can actually read pseudo languages for the translator to take to the next stage to derive the object code.
It is highly technical to derive computer programmes from the grammars laying the rules for parsing. Lexical analysers producing intermediate codes and tokens as well as the executable codes from syntax rules form the semantics that produce the procedures in a programme.
It all plays out from a production rule system and pipelining as a thorough process likened to a manufacturing plant like a car factory.
We have to realise that as in a signal stack, there is the first-in-first-out data passage or first-in-last-out as in a push-up signal passage all follows the addressing system as outlined above. This is the process known as queuing wherein bits and bytes of data are processed. Any mistake in the transmission is corrected by the built-in structures called redundancies in several architectures whether it is linear or cyclical.
For the data on the memory and the stations to be switched the mode is also considered in terms of message, packets and datagrams. It attains a bandwidth for travel considered in terms of frequencies read as in kilobytes, megabytes or gigabytes and even terra bytes is considered for very large scale integration as also in gigabytes as we have seen in our previous lectures.
It can also be seen that when an item from a variable is read, then the result is based on that item and the previous element as well as their complement also play a significant role as all embedded vector data items are read for transmission.
Also in concurrencies, linked data play important role in parallel data processing whereby any latency or transmission delay in some seconds of magnitude like in milliseconds, microseconds or now most commonly in nanoseconds which is much faster than what a human brain can calculate can be corrected or all in all made more efficient.
The above is abridged and less thoroughly spells out the capability and competency of the modern era revolutionised concept of digital technology compounded with analogue data processing. Its modes of conversions and signal transmission conversions are made in terms of digital/analogue converters and analogue digital converters to bring maximum economy to the data usage and consumption.

Programme evaluation
The evaluation in our case if we have a programme ready, the task can be executed by any organisation or personal who has a knowledge on a database and programs.
Programmes can terminate or possess inarticulate procedures and ambiguous interfaces determine whether a computer program is well written or not well written.
These and other inherent findings and procedures within the data structures is up for a certified data analyst and programmer to determine in the program’s genuineness which is both technical and managerial in nature to evaluate.
It will take a few months in a magnitude less than six months at the least. If the database covers a whole range as for the entire nation’s economy it really depends on the data modules that form the computer data programs and also the quality and or extremes of expertise involved for the programmers, analysts and managers. This is a system based engineering that has adequate engineering facilities particularly on its principles that will always produce a very efficient digitalised economic system for PNG.
We should not go wrong as we make a decision to digitise our economy to trade with the outside world. Take for instance, your client base of a hundred will now turn into a thousand and then into an unimaginable millions. Now that is so astonishing and a desperate economy can experience a blessing in disguise given the fact that our trading barriers have been diminished and all this time we were caught in a poverty trap to see our resources easily siphoned away incrementally.

Programme roll out and trial
The entire computerised programme can be trialled for efficiency and for further affirmations in the software’s efficiencies.
In cases where needs arise for maintaining constraint and control, computer hardware control can also be made to maintain consistency and control. Mathematical modelling and computer simulations would have been done in the preplanning stages to ensure for such a product at this eventual stage.
Any programme executions that work contrary to the predicted or expected outcomes can be corrected by revisiting nodes that produce those information and corrections made accordingly whether it is hardware in nature or data coding.
This segment of the trial process could take slightly less than six months at the least. This is an ongoing process to further accommodate the changes as and when the need arise as we relate to our internal and also external trade and economic environments as a whole.
Thus it can be seen that the exercise is dynamic and involves the process of how to take the economy of this country to the next level or to marketise and also to democratise and to be at par with the rest of the world to gain optimal benefit for PNG citizens.
With the above token, our PNG economy cannot be static because for sure we will be immersed and inundated in the technological tide that is taking this world and therefore the world’s economy by storm. When organising our computer programming and significantly divulging this topic, we are considering both imperative and declarative languages as and when the need arises like in obtaining traditional data in programming at the village level.
Imperative programing languages are largely taken into consideration although that is a non-von Neumann computing approach. They are built into the programme to innovate as imperative languages like Cobol, C++, Fortran, Java and modern programming languages are very integral to provide variations as diversities and resiliencies.
The modern programming languages play a very significant role and in all cases for either programmes or applications in hypertext mark-up language (html) for the distributed systems addressing to clients around the world.

Next week: we will discuss the modern PNG economy.
