Workshop looks at light weapons trade

A SMALL and light weapons trade treaty workshop was conducted in Port Moresby yesterday.
The workshop was aimed at recognising international trade of small and light arms according to a 2006 UN General Assembly resolution.
It was attended by members of the three disciplinary forces and personnel from the departments of foreign affairs, justice and attorney-general and customs.
PNG was a signatory to the treaty.
The UN assembly will meet in July.
