Workshop to prepare climate chage reports

 THE office of the Climate Change and Development held its first Biennial Update Report (BUR1) workshop to prepare reports on climate changes in the country.

Sherlyn Weplu, managerr of National Communication, said it is part of the obligation of the Government to report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on the projects and disasters that is happening.

She said, the main outcome is to collect data and statistics from the reports by the participants and stakeholders.

The (BUR1) and the Third National Communication (NC3) are funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and is supported by (UNFCCC).  The workshop has seen participants coming from different sectors from provincial to private organisations.
