WORLD Vision in Lae on Wednesday took time off to cook and feed patients at the Angau Memorial Hospital in Lae.
Organised by Stella Rumbam who is provincial advocacy communication social mobilisation coordinator and Theresa Nahuet, district coordinator, they engaged the help of four of their TB programme volunteers.
They cooked and brought food to the three TB, male, female, and multi-drug resistant wards and also to the children’s wards of 4A and 4B.
About 36 children at the children’s wards felt a little Christmas cheer when they were given presents and lollies.
Nahuet said the main message to the patients was that they would be in the prayers of all Christians during the festive period.
Angau receives a lot of help from business houses, NGOs and individuals and the assistance brings a lot of cheer to the patients who come from within and outside Morobe.
