Worry a cancer to the soul, says overseer

Faith

Life in the Spirit Ministries members who attended a church service on Sunday were told that worry is a cancer to the soul and spirit.
Ministries International overseer Pastor David Dii, in his two-part address on worry, explained that a person worries because he or she has not found rest in his or her spirit.
He said worry will only bring sickness and remove joy in a person.
“Don’t let worry steal your joy,” Dii said.
“It is something that you should never allow to settle in your mind.
“When you allow worry to take control of you, you have given a legal right for the devil to use worry against you.”
He said worry was a command set by God.
He quoted from Matthew 6:31: “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
“God gave us a command, telling us not to steal, not to commit adultery and not to worry,” Dii said. “So if you worry you have sinned.
“Don’t worry about tomorrow because it hasn’t come yet.”
Dii said worry is a common disease that eats away at people.
“God did not made you to worry, he made you worry free, and he crowned you with glory and honour.”
