Wrestling for bemobile Cup

SIX months after claiming the bemobile Cup after their impressive win in last October’s grand final against Toyota Enga Mioks, NGIP Agmark Gurias reluctantly returned it to the bemobile office in Port Moresby last Saturday.
NGIP Agmark Gurias and the Enga Mioks made it through to the grand final after successfully winning in the final three series of playoffs before the grandfinal.
After an excruciating 80 minutes of scrums and tackles Gurias came out winners with a rewarding score 24-14.
The man-of-the-match for the grand final was  Sakias Kambange for his outstanding performance as hooker throughout the match.
Last year’s bemobile Cup was acclaimed as being a great improvement from previous years, with the emphasis being on a safe and friendly game that all the family could attend.
The chief commercial officer of bemobile Chris Raps said:  “As a PNG company, bemobile is committed to ensuring that the NRL provides the most secure and safest competition for the people of PNG to enjoy their national sport of rugby league.”
This year’s bemobile Cup challenge promises to be even more exciting with the Simbu Warriors joining the line-up to make a total of nine teams.
Kicking off on April 25, the Cup’s slogan for this year is: “bemobile Cup best yet”!
