I REFER to your report “SHP, Enga and Chimbu urged to help” (Feb 4).
It was about Western Highlands Deputy Governor Wai Rapa calling on other highlands provinces which have citizens residing in Western Highlands to help fund the provincial budget.
This is a very short-sighted and selfish call.
The simple and logical question is: Which province does these people from outside serve while living in Western Highlands?
Certainly they are not serving their own provinces, so why should their provincial governments pay money to the WH provincial government?
If Rapa cannot do his job, then he should let some other visionary people take over his place.
