THE drop in morale and discipline among police personnel is a concern for Deputy Commissioner Fred Yakasa, who will be addressing all members of the force tomorrow.
Yakasa will make known his stance on these two issues at a parade at the Gordon police barracks oval.
He will speak on the constabulary’s tarnished reputation and the need to improve performance.
NCD police reports indicated an increase in the crime rate while police abuse and brutality against citizens had increased.
In preparation for tomorrow’s parade, police personnel yesterday took time off from active duty to rehearse for the parade.
Metropolitan operations commander Andy Bawa was at the forefront of yesterday’s parade rehearsal.
