NATIONAL Capital District Commission’s Yumi Lukautim Mosbi (YLM) have surged to the lead in the Corporate Nines rugby league competition after a nail-biting victory last Friday night.
YLM edged fellow commission men of City Sivarai 6-4 in a tight affair which went neck-and-neck throughout.
It was YLM’s third win after four matches with their nose ahead with Telikom PNG Ltd and Delstar Securities, who are unbeaten after three games.
A team scores three points for a win, two for a draw and one for a loss.
YLM played one of only two games in round three before lighting problems at the Lloyd Robson Oval forced the remaining six games to be cancelled.
The Corporate Games (PNG) Ltd director Ivan Ravu said the games that were not played had been deferred to a later date.
Telikom continued their good form, knocking off Monier 10-4 and Delstar thumped Bishop Brothers Engineering 12-6.
Early leaders Kumul Hotels were held to a 4-4 draw by Daltron and dropped to fourth place.
In other matches, Digicel PNG had the better of their rivals defeating bemobile 6-0, HCC Ox and Palm beat ANZ 20-18, IRC defeated Central Bank 6-4 and Funeral Home thrashed BSP 6-0.
