Young Pukpuks gave a solid show

I WOULD like to congratulate the PNGRFU for a job well done.
The junior rugby development programme has certainly paid off.
The current players are all products of the programme.
There are only five sporting codes that excelled in junior sports.
They are netball, cricket, soccer, swimming and weight-lifting.
The three-day of FORU Cup was a display of outstanding sportsmanship from the Pukpuks.
Although they lacked height advantage, they showed pride, passion, professionalism, power, speed and grit.
They reminded me of the recent rugby league test between PNG and Fiji.
It is time our sporting administrators look at improving physical infrastructure and build capacity.
The PNG Rugby did it the hard way and the results are there for all to see.
If only we had all the right resources to groom and develop, I think the Pukpuks would have been a rugby power in the Pacific by now.
