Youths need focus for Gospel

 YOUTHS should remain focused to spread the Gospel, says Southern Region Papua District Evangelical Lutheran Youth president Kaman Kelly.

“Growing up in the church molds and shapes young people in the family and nation as a whole,” Kelly stressed.

“To serve God means sacrifice, dedication, honesty, commitment.” Kelly spoke to youths at the Gordon’s Grace Lutheran Church

The gathering discussed agendas for the 10th Evangelical Lutheran Church of PNG Southern Region District Youth conference from July 2-5. Discussed were suggestions about type of Bible studies to suit the conference theme, financial management, ministry programme in the congregation and fundraising for the conference.

“We have no doubt about hosting (the conference). We believe God will help in our prayers,” Kell said.

He said the conference would help them prepare for the ELC-PNG (Lutheran Church) National Youth Conference in September.
