A GROUP of men from Finschhafen in Morobe are walking the Bulldog Track to raise funds for a church.

The Buang youth group from the Qembung circuit of ELC PNG in Kote district walked for four days from Finschhafen arriving in Lae last Thursday.

They will spend the weekend in Lae, distributing walk-a-ton sheets to families, friends and business houses for sponsorship. They leave for Wau today.

The 18-member team includes pastors Daniel Nare and Bondeng Wahawete, male nurse Madom Gima and Steve Bendeng, a coordinator for Lower Mape who will represent the Finschhafen MP’s office.

They will walk from Wau to Biaru then to Kakoro. They will then catch a dinghy and travel to Malalaua. They will then walk to Port Moresby.

In Port Moresby, they will approach business houses, friends and family members to raise K200,000 for the new church building.
