Youths urged to be good role models and influence others

THIRTY-ONE youths from Meporo village in Central Kerema, Gulf, received certificates after attending a week-long leadership training programme.
The youths have been urged to be good role models and influence other youths in their various capacities in the church ministries like youth, women, Sunday schools and Deacons, school board, community and sports.
The training was facilitated by the National Youth Development Authority in February and the youths received their certificates on June 10.
Facilitator Joe Mesa said training on the nature of leadership, leadership as an influence process, and effective communication in leadership, effective decision-making and team building strategies were taught.
“Learning is a different thing and putting it into practice is
another thing,” Mesa told the youths.
