Zonal volleyball tourney in Wampar

 THE Northern Zone Volleyball League (NZVL) tournament will be named after Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour who will patronise the competition that will be held at Zifasing in Wampar, Morobe.

 The NZVL executive approved Zifasing Volleyball Association (ZVA) to host the 2013 volleyball challenge that will be from August 16-19.

Zifasing men’s volleyball team won the former Madang MP Buka Malai Cup in Bau, Madang, in 2011.

NZVL president Charles Malenki said ZVA had to make the necessary preparations to cater for teams from Morobe, Madang, East Sepik and Sandaun provinces.

Malenki said that an invitation was also extended to Manus, Oro and Yonki associations.

He said local clubs from nine Morobe districts including rural Madang and two Sepik provinces were   keen to participate have been asked to submit their applications immediately.
