Better screening for foreign workers needed

Letters

REFER to the debate on foreign workers who are not complying to our labour laws and regulations.
I have encountered a young foreigner who has little or no experience and is conducting himself as general manager of large coffee plantations, factories and exporting company.
He has no agricultural background and no knowledge of coffee.
This is depriving the rights of our citizens who are starved of employment opportunities.
What kind of skills or expertise will such foreigners impart to locals?
This is really killing us in the employment sector.
The Government must restrict foreigners who do not have the skills and experience and just come to PNG to benefit at our people’s expense.
