Finance managers’ hailed

HELA administrator William Bando has commended provincial and district finance managers from all over the country for choosing Tari to host their annual conference.
He welcomed participants yesterday for the 14th annual provincial and district finance managers’ conference – one of the biggest.
“From where ever in the country you have come, and of all places you could choose, we are so glad that you are here with us,” Bando said after a colourful traditional Huli welcome at the new Hope Institute in Tari.
Bando said Hela was a relatively new province which had started from “ground zero” after being separated in 2012.
“There was literally nothing in this place, and what you see now, is what we have done over the last six to seven years. I want to thank the Government, (Finance) secretary (Dr Ken Ngangan) and all the workmen and women of Vulupindi Haus,” he said.
