Frustrated playbox user

I bought a TV WAN playbox in 2015, but it is already playing up.
When I took it to Digicel at Gordon’s to be fixed, I was advised to collect it after two days, but when I went back after two days, I was told to return after another two days.
Eventually I was told that they couldn’t fix it there and I was told to try Digicel at 4-Mile or Hitron.
It was frustrating.
Why is this particular type of playbox being given out to customers if it is difficult to fix?
