PRESSSING issues like financial autonomy, splitting Morobe into two and Lae city commission cannot be discussed until the basic nitty-gritty is established, Morobe Governor Ginson Saonu says.
He said that the concepts were easy to  visualise but were a mammoth task in terms of establishing technical and practical groundwork.
“It takes work, time and effort to mobilise human and financial resources to set in place the  mechanisms required,” Saonu said.
“I am not discouraging the ideas but rather encourage them in practical terms. They will be addressed.”
Saonu was responding to suggestion of financial autonomy, division of the province into two  and the controversial Lae city commission bill.
“There are many pressing issues on the agenda but they need the collective input of the Tutumang,” he said.
The Tutumang will be sworn-in tomorrow.
