Faith

Twenty mothers from Nazarene Church in Lae, Morobe, will be trained next year to help improve their lives and families.
The church’s North Coast women’s president, Beverlynn
Moiam, said as part of women’s fellowship programme the 20 mothers would be trained to be self-reliant.
The women will be trained on mindset change, financial literacy, and Project Me – to understand themselves better and life skills of cooking, baking, sewing, and floral arrangement.
Moiam said most of the women were from settlements around Lae.
She announced this during graduation of first nine women at the One-Mile Nazarene Church in Lae, on Wednesday.
The women underwent a week-long training on mindset change, basic financial literacy, baking, cooking, and floral arrangement and graduated with certificates and bank passbooks.
Moiam said the women were special and God has something special for them to raise them in whatever jobs they had.
She said the women who have been trained would be examples to other women in the North Coast district of the Nazarene Church which covers Manus, Madang and Morobe.
Moiam said the training
would be extended to rural Morobe and other local churches within the North Coast district in future.
