Power deal fixed: Duma

PUBLIC Enterprises and State Investment Minister William Duma says he cannot change the arrangement that his predecessor Ben Micah made
with the Indonesian government to bring electricity from Jayapura to Vanimo.
Duma said Micah signed for electricity to be supplied from the  Papua province across the PNG-Indonesia border to West Sepik.
West Sepik Governor Amkat Mai asked if the arrangement could be changed for PNG Power to supply electricity from Vanimo.
Duma said electricity supply from Indonesia was  available at the
border.
The 2-megawatt power supply generated from a diesel power plant in Waena and Yarmokh,  Papua province, near the border, is  now awaiting PNG Power Limited to link it to continue the supply to Vanimo.
