Enga cops ready for by-election
ENGA police were alerted to speculation that people were smuggling guns from Southern Highlands into Kandep to use in the by-election.
Acting provincial Police commander Snr Insp Albert Beli told The National yesterday from Wabag that police were aware of the speculation.
“We are monitoring the district closely to ensure that there is peace during the by-election.”
He warned trouble makers that police would enforce the law and not allow any unruly or violent behaviour.
