THE last round of the Digicel Cup will see Tigers play Goroka Lahanis in Lae on Sunday with the defending champions set to wrap their fourth straight minor premiership.
The Tigers and Mioks junior sides will play the curtain raiser to the main game.
Coach Stanley Tepend said the preparation for Sunday’s game against Lahanis were good.
He said Lahanis were also looking to finish their season off on a positive note so he expected a tough encounter at the Lae Rugby League Ground.
“After three wins to get back on track from our three losses is a good wake-up call for the team. We’ve had it easy so the losses were good to have at that stage,” said Tepend.
He said the last two wins were hard games against and Muruks who are in the top four and against Waghi Tumbe in Goroka before finishing off at home.
“All the boys are good with Tim Lomai released from Hunters. Lomai is back for rehab but it is pretty much being the same team that played Tumbe up in Goroka. We are looking forward to finish the year on good note and winning the minor premiership again,” he said.
“We want to set our target on going back-to-back and I know it’s going to be tough.”
