DIGICEL Cup leaders Bintangor Goroka Lahanis had their perfect record   broken by Toyota Enga Mioks on Sunday in Wabag.
Mioks, who were considered the underdogs,  defeated Lahanis 20-18 in a close game at the Johnson Siki Oval.
In the end, it was a penalty goal by Mioks hooker Leon Cletus in the first half which proved the difference.
This makes two high profile victims for the Engans in as many weeks with Hela Wigmen being dispatched in the previous round in Wabag.
A smaller Mioks team managed to contain the heavier Eastern Highlanders with a low error count and good set completions ensuring the game would be decided on which team gave away penalties.
In the first half, Mioks shot to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter through tries to prop Esau Siune and five-eighth Sova Milfred.
Siune’s try was unconverted but the Cletus penalty and the successful conversion of Milfred’s try had the homeside on a roll.
Five minutes before halftime, Lahanis reserve Michah Soboni broke through for a converted try to trail 12-6.
In the second half, a runaway try by Mioks pushed the lead to 16- 6.
Lahanis hit back with a try to fullback Adex Wera to get the competition leaders within striking distance at 12-16.
The last quarter exhibited high pressure football as both sides pressed for opportunities.
Lahanis were the first to crack when Mioks centre Pasu Awani crossed for a try to give the Engans a handy 20-12 lead.
With just over a minute remaining on the clock, Lahanis posted a consolation try handing Mioks back-to-back wins.
Mioks will host SBS Mendi Muruks this Sunday in Wabag.
